[edit] Battle of Los Angeles 2006

The 2006 Battle of Los Angeles tournament took place on September 1, 2 and 3, 2006 in Reseda, California.

The tournament participants were:

The Briscoe Brothers (Mark and Jay Briscoe) were set to participate in the tournament but after numerous no-shows of previous PWG events, Commissioner Dino Woodward decided to ban them from the tournament and replace them with current Ring of Honor World Champion Bryan Danielson and Dragon Gate member Dragon Kid.

Also, Alex Koslov was set to participate in the tournament, but due to scheduling conflicts had to pull out. He was replaced by former ROH World Champion Austin Aries.

On August 26, Bryan Danielson dislocated his shoulder ten minutes into what would be a 60-minute time limit draw against Colt Cabana at a Ring of Honor event in Chicago Ridge, Illinois. Due to this injury, Danielson was forced out of the tournament, and was replaced by Rocky Romero (who wrestles as Black Tiger IV in Japan).
