Pro Tour Qualifier

A Pro Tour Qualifier (or simply a PTQ), is a qualifier in which the winner receives an invitation to participate in the next Pro Tour (Magic: The Gathering). He or she also receives an amount of money to cover for travel expenses. Often the entire plane ticket is covered. Some Pro Tour Qualifiers are 2-slotters. This means that the top 2 players receive money and an invitational to the next Pro Tour.
