Talk:Principle (disambiguation)

Kudos to User:Stormwriter, who on Clarke's Law used the term "adage". How about we move this clumsy title, Law (principle), to that? -- Tarquin 17:20 Nov 1, 2002 (UTC)

Thank you, thank you (*bows*). Stormwriter

[[Adage]] could be an article and contain laws like Murphy's law, but things like the laws of nature and the law of gravity belong here or if you wish to change the name in something like [[Scientific principle]] or [[Scientific law]] Fred Bauder 22:08 Nov 2, 2002 (UTC)

It would be good to distinguish between scientific laws & vague principles.

I've more or less killed this page off. Someone created Adage (independently of the discussion above, it seems), so it seemed like a good time to act: the Law article now sends to physical law for the scientific stuff, and to adage for the Murphy's, etc. I've ripped most of the content from this page for either of those two articles. I'll mop up links to here, and then we can either delete or leave as a disambiguation page or a redirect, in case anyone tries to link to it in the future. -- Tarquin
