[edit] Question and Suggestion

First, I have a question about the statement in the article that Peach's "grandmother" in Super Mario RPG is neccesarily her biological grandmother because I always took the statement to be like a pet name for a nanny, which I think is a strong possibility that needs to be adressed. Secondly, I think it would be really nice to include a list of non-playable appearances though it might be sevral. 68.53.227.224 18:21, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] In the Super Mario World TV series

In one episode od the TV series Super Mario World, she was a teacher of a school of some sort, but was out of employment in the next.

The old cartoon shows had no continuity, they were purely episodic, so what happens in one episode is limited to that episode. On a side note, the episode you're refering to, "A Little Learning" was the second last episode; and the one after that was a flashback episode, so it didn't say anything about Princess Toadstool's employment status. -- VederJuda 21:57, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Hair Color

I fixed some inaccuracies in the article. Peach has always been depicted as a blonde in the games since her initial appearance in Super Mario Bros.. Her sprite had brown hair in the NES games due to color limitations (the artwork clearly depicted otherwise), but it's pretty clear in Super Mario World and onward. [edit] Excess bolding of character names

This is something that has started recently and I'm wondering if anybody knows the Wiki policy on it: excess name bolding. I don't know why, but some Wiki editors find it necessary to make Peach name (an any variation thereof) bold throughout the article. I can understand doing it once at the beginning at the article, but not throughout. So unless any of you frequent bolders can justify why you're keen on this, I move to stop it. [edit] Comparison images

Thanks for changnig the main image, Jonny2X4. It totally wasn't necessary. The comparison image was the result of a certain other user's meddling, but I think it's much better to have the most recent available image big and in the top right corner. Kidicarus222 03:41, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

Yeah. I thought the composite image was nauseating and rather redundant. I mean, they were basically just different depictions of what was basically the same character design. I mean, if someone wants to add picture of every incarnation of the character, they could've easily just created a gallery box. Jonny2x4 06:44, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

Hey! I've uploaded the image of her from Super Princess Peach, her most recent appearance. --Zachkudrna18@yahoo.com

[edit] Mario Party

In Mario Party, when she loses, she starts to cry as you see the portrait that animates losing. --ZachKudrna18@yahoo.com

Can you please stop with this idle banter? - A Link to the Past (talk) 18:33, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] "Baby Peach" vs "Baby Princess"

Does it really matter that no one calls her "Baby Peach" within the context of the game? Other than Baby Bowser calling her "Princess Peach" at the beginning of the game, the only characters to refer to her are the two Toadsworths. And Toadsworth never calls her "Peach", only "(the) princess" (unless there's something in Superstar Saga I'm forgetting). The character is still Peach as a baby, so wouldn't it still make sense to call her "Baby (Princess) Peach"? Agent CH 19:41, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

If the game itself doesn't mention it, it's not the official name. Toadsworth does call her Peach in Super Mario Sunshine, so that's a moot point. Toadworth may be the only character to differentiate, but the text upon rescuing her is "You saved the Baby Princess!", meaning it's not just the Toadsworths, but the way it's recognized.

... Actually, I take that back. Yoshi's Island 2's official site calls her "Baby Peach". However, this may not appear in the final version or in-game, so we should wait until it's released before changing anything. If the name "Baby Peach" stays, I'd think that perhaps "Baby Peach" is informal, while "Baby Princess is formal, both referring to the same being.

[edit] Baby Princess Peach to appear in the Yoshi's Island sequel

Source: [1] Somebody here needs to find a way to integrate this information. 71.96.218.203 04:47, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Linking directly to gamefaqs guides

Gamefaqs has an anti-leech mechanism set up, you can do what some articles do and mention that it requires a cut and paste of the URL, or find another source.--BigCow 20:50, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Peach's bottom

I'm wondering. Is it really necessary to say that Princess Peach wears a thong or that her bottom jiggles when she runs?? I hardly find this to be informative about the character, yet there is a trivia section devoted to these topics. I'd go ahead and revert it myself, but I would like to know what others' opinions of this are. --SaturnYoshi 14:36, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

We should restore it. Just add more than that to the Trivia section. User:Coconutfred73

It seems to me that the thing about the thong is worthless, but perhaps the bottom jiggling/"fixing the camera" behind her should stay, since it could be called a "cheat."69.34.177.74 19:35, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Okay, but cheats are game guide material, and should not be on Wikipedia. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 00:14, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

To my mind, it's no less informative about the character than the various ways to say her name are. On the other hand I'm pretty much alone on this, so maybe I'll let it drop.SuperToad64 02:12, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Peach's voice in SM64DS

Was Leslie Swan's voice re-used? It sounds completely different and she says different words.

JasonXV 00:55, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

It was re-recorded for the game. Some of her lines were also changed, like when she said "Yoshi" at the end instead of "Mario". The credits also list Leslie Swan instead of Jen Taylor. -SaturnYoshi 03:07, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] One link to be added on Princess Peach's article

I will add Peach-Paradise.com on the article of Princess Peach in external links. Peach-Paradise.com is NOT a spam link. Princess Peach's bio is in references. I want to keep Peach-Paradise.com on external links in this article. The links has to be more than one for a total of two. Do not remove that link from external links. Thank You. Steam5 20:37, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

It's a fansite, it shouldn't be used as an external link. Highway Grammar Enforcer! 20:50, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nurse Peach.

I'm not planning to add this to the article myself because I don't know where I should put it. But on the part of the article relating to Peach's outfits I think that her obscure nurse outfit (or maybe even her profession as one) should be mentioned. In the instruction manual for the original Dr.Mario an illustration depicts Peach in a pink nurse outfit, this created false rumors that Peach was an "unlockable" character. Despite this Peach did not make an appearance in the game. In the Nintendo Comics System comic featuring Dr.Mario Peach made a second appearance in this outfit. Peach proclaimed that she was going to be a nurse but stated that it was "strictly volunteer work" explaining that she had more important duties as a princess and was not mentioned ever again. More recently Peach has appeared as a nurse on the promotional website for Dr.Mario and Puzzle League. Also despite this Peach did not make an appearance in the game. Peach has so far not made any game appearances in this outfit. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.154.41.15 (talk • contribs) .
