[edit] Background Info

Private Larry (James) Allen is a young soldier from Connecticut and enlisted in the US Army right after highschool rather than wait to be drafted. During the early days of training Allen developed a strong and unbreakable friendship with Garnett and haven't been seen apart since.

Private Michael (Jeff) Garnett is a self described "boy from Nowhere, Kentucky." Garnett worked as a dock worker on the Ohio River before enlisting in the Army. As described above, he met Allen during the first week of boot camp.

These two sharpshooters from 3rd Squad's Fire Team are the practical jokesters of the platoon. They always have a sly and sarcastic remark for every situation and seem to pride themselves on that fact. This is something that often gets on the nerves of Platoon Sergeant Greg "Mac" Hassay whom always clamps down on them after every smart mouth remark, though he seems to take special pleasure in making an example of Private Allen whom is the bigger loudmouth of the two.

[edit] Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30

High above the Normandy coast 3rd Squad was set to jump into German occupied France. Their C-47 Skytrain transport aircraft was hit by flak and the entire squad was forced to jump prematurely. Despite the fact most of the squad was scattered badly, both Privates Allen and Garnett somehow managed to stay together and met up with Sergeant Matt Baker and Corporal Joe "Red" Hartsock (see: Sergeant Joe "Red" Hartsock) during the early morning hours of June 6, 1944. Together they managed to stop retreating German soldiers retreating from Utah Beach. From there they proceeded on to help secure Objective XYZ among other notable accomplishments.

Allen and Garnett both had a rivalry with Pfc. Leggett after an argument over comic book superheroes. However later on in the campaign they were forced to go with Leggett under his command to flank an enemy held farm outside of Purple Heart Lane. The three became surrounded and both Allen and Garnett were killed, Leggett survived but faced the animosity of his squad mates. How they died still remains a mystery, but recent rumors have emerged that we might hear how in Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway

[edit] Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood

In Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood Allen and Garnett appear during the early stages of the game under the command of Hartsock. They still bring their unique brand of sarcastic humor to the game before their unfortunate and untimely deaths.

[edit] Misc. Info

Both Allen and Garnett are equipped with the M1 Garand rifle for nearly every mission they are in. However, during the level "Objective XYZ," Allen has a Thompson submachine gun and at the end of the level use a Bazooka to very poor effect (they missed a rather easy first shot and were nearly killed because of it). Allen and Garnett were inseparable throughout every thing they experienced, including the battle that killed both of them. It's also interesting to note that Allen and Garnett's names in Road to Hill 30 are listed as "Larry" and "Michael" but in Earned in Blood they're listed as "James" and "Jeff". The death letters between Allen and Garnett's parents are viewed as unlockables in Earned In Blood.
