Princess Victoria of Hesse and by Rhine, later Victoria Mountbatten, Marchioness of Milford Haven (Victoria Alberta Elisabeth Mathilde Marie) (5 April 1863-24 September 1950), was the eldest daughter of Ludwig IV, Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine (1837-1892) and his wife Princess Alice of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (1843-1878). Victoria was born at Windsor Castle.

Her maternal grandparents were Victoria of the United Kingdom and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

She is the maternal grandmother of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who is the consort of Queen Elizabeth II.

On 30 April 1884 at Darmstadt, she married HSH Prince Louis of Battenberg, later Louis Mountbatten and 1st Marquess of Milford Haven. Her husband was alleged to have been the father of actress Lillie Langtry's daughter, with whom he had been involved prior to his marriage to Victoria.

Their children were:

She died at Kensington Palace and is buried in the grounds of St. Mildred's Church, Whippingham on the Isle of Wight.
