[edit] Background

Elise is the princess of Soleanna, the City of Water, and is the protector of a dark secret known as the Flames of Disaster. The villainous Doctor Eggman kidnaps her to try and claim the power she protects for his own evil schemes. A creature named "Iblis" was sealed away in her when she was a child by her father before his death. Before his death, Elise's father begs her not to cry, as the key to the release of Iblis lies within her tears and despair. Throughout the course of the game, Elise quickly becomes Sonic the Hedgehog's friend, and the feeling becomes mutual.

[edit] Game Appearance

In the "Last Episode", Elise kisses Sonic to bring him back from the dead (using the Chaos Emeralds) before the battle with Solaris. She reveals that a single lit candle created Iblis and blows it out, wiping the "Flames of Disaster" and Solaris from existence. In the process, she also wipes out the event of Elise and Sonic ever meeting, but they both still have a small apparent memory of each other.

[edit] Trivia

  • According to a script of the game obtained by the fan site "Sonic Cult", her name in early development was "Oliga The Third".

[edit] Abilities

Elise has some sort of supernatural ability which is unspecified, possibly from Iblis within her. When Elise and Sonic are together, she is somehow able to make him light enough to travel across the surface of water and over quicksand for short amounts of time.
