Prince Tagoe

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Prince Tagoe (born November 9, 1986) is a Ghanaian football (soccer) player currently playing at the position of striker for the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

As the best scorer in Ghana in the 2004/05 season, Tagoe was surprisingly called to the national squad for the 2006 African Cup of Nations by the coach Ratomir Dujković. He only played a total of 49 minutes; his team did not make it into the quarter finals.

In January 2006, a transfer from his Ghanaian club Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club to the German Bundesliga team 1. FSV Mainz 05 failed because the former team did not release the player in time. Instead he transferred to the Saudi-Arabian club Al-Ittihad.
