Prince Mishaal ibn Abdulaziz is a senior member of the Saudi Royal Family. Succeeding his older full brother, Mansur, as Saudi Arabia's Minister of Defence during the reign of King Saud ibn Abdulaziz, he was removed shortly thereafter by King Faisal ibn Abdulaziz who replaced him with half brother Prince Sultan ibn Abdulaziz.

Prince Mishaal is a major businessman in the Kingdom and is considered among the top tier of power brokers in the Saud family. Only King Abdullah ibn Abdulaziz and Prince Bandar bin Sultan have age seniority over Mishaal and he actively contests the power of Crown Prince Sultan and the extended Sudairi clan.
