Prince Koreyasu
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Prince Koreyasu (惟康親王) (May 26, 1264 – November 25, 1326; reigned 1266–1289) was the 7th shogun of the Kamakura shogunate of Japan. He was the nominal ruler controlled by the Hōjō clan regents.
Prince Koreyasu was born to 6th shogun Prince Munetaka in Kamakura. He was installed as the 7th shogun at the age of two when his father was deposed. He did nothing effective while in the post. He was deposed at the age of 25 because he grew "too old" to be a puppet ruler.
