Primer Impacto
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Primer Impacto (First Impact) is a news program broadcast by Univision. The hosts are Barbara Bermudo and Fernando Del Rincón. During the weekends the hosting job alternates to Satcha Pretto. On November 26, 2006 the previous co-host, Veronica del Castillo, announced at the end of the show that she would be leaving the show to act as Primer Impacto's primary correspondant in Mexico.
Regrettably, her announcement and departure were over-shadowed by sad news earlier in the day of the death of Raúl Velasco, the well liked Mexican host of Siempre en Domingo. This day's show, was one of the first to pay an hour of homage to Raúl Velasco's life and impact on Latin American show biz industry.
The show started in 1992 with Maria Celeste and Myrka Dellanos. In 2002, Carmen Dominicci replaced Maria Celeste and stayed with the program until 2005. In 2005, both Carmen Dominicci and Myrka Dellanos left the show and were replaced by the current hosts. Walter Mercado has provided the flamboyant horoscope predictions for a number of years.
