Primary education in the United States

As part of Education in the United States, primary education usually covers grades one through 4,5,6, or eight.

Elementary school runs from kindergarten through either grade 5 or grade 6, depending on the region and time in history. The end with grade 5 is becoming more common.
Students normally have all their core classes from one teacher.
