[edit] Counting your edits
(Noticing your message on User talk:Tim!) If you want to find out how many edits you have, there are various edit counters available; see Wikipedia:WikiProject edit counters. (Note that many of these have stopped working recently; User:Interiot/Tool2 seems to be the most used at the moment, and (shameless plug for my own product) I have also written my own counter: User:ais523/editcount. I'll be happy to help you sort out any problems you have using them! --ais523 11:55, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

- After installing the counter, you have to press Control-F5 (on a PC, most browsers), or Command-F5 on a Macintosh. (On some browsers you have to hold Shift and click on Reload/Refresh). The 'count' tab is at the top of the page, where 'edit this page' normally is. --ais523 12:56, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jan Burke
Nice work on the Jan Burke article. I'd added a redlink for her on the Long Beach, California page, knowing that she had a writing column in the local newspaper, the Long Beach Press-Telegram for several years, and I kept saying that when I found the time to reserach it, I needed to add an article for her. I don't know if it is too late for the Did you know feature on the main page, but the Clinton reference would be a good 'hook' for DYN. BlankVerse 09:39, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- On the Record with Jan Burke
- "What Jan Burke has to say about:
-
- Having Bill Clinton mention Goodnight Irene in his first White House interview:
- My husband called me over at my friend's house and told me that our answering machine was jam-packed with messages saying that Clinton held up my book on 48 Hours with Dan Rather. I thought it was a prank.
- From a Google search], that appears to be the ONLY reference on the internet.
- As for the book column, it was just once a week, and only for a 2-3 years, as far as I remember. I don't know if it is worth mentioning. Neither she nor her webmaster thought it was noteworthy. BlankVerse 07:52, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Shashi Tharoor
Thank you for cleaning up the article, I was thinking of moving them to Wikiquote but they are better off not on the page. Do you have an opinion on the controversy to include information on the SSB controversy? Thanks. Ekantik 04:52, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] reply!
Hi - thanks for your message. The Manglorean userbox looks cool - the reason for substituting was that WP:AMT suggested that templates should not be included within other templates where possible. under the previous format, {{User Mangalore}} contained the {{userbox}} template - by substituting the latter this issue is no longer prevailent. With regards to the photos in the article you mention, I'm afraid I cannot be of help as both appear exactly the same size on my browser. I can only assume that size variations are either a browser issue, or are related to stored cache (although I have never experienced the latter).
Regards, Dean
[edit] CATBird
(I'm posting my reply to your question on the Lockheed CATBird here for your convenience as well as on the article's page.) A few weeks ago, the newspaper Mojave Desert News ran a pretty indepth story on it, it may be archived on their web page. AvWeek's 11/27 issue has a pic of it, and as testing gets underway in ernest, I'm sure most of the industry pubs will mention it. By the weekend there'll be info on my blog on it (see my user page for the link). Akradecki 13:51, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- After a bit of an unexpected delay, my blog article and images of CATBird is now up at [1]. To avoid conflict of interest, I have not included this in the external links section of the Wikipedia article. Akradecki 06:01, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Weaver Ant
Hi Prem, I saw your weaver ant photo. Wonder if it would ok with you if I moved it from ant to Oecophylla smaragdina. The gallery on ant was drastically trimmed down by me in the last few days, since it had a little too many photos which did not add value to the text in the article. Shyamal 10:43, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, the green one is the queen. Will add more text, images give some encouragement for that. Yes I think the only species in India is O. smaragdina but will check. Shyamal 11:15, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
