Mahabharata - 1316BC, That's pretty precise, for a long time ago and an text that has "grown in the telling". Is there any actual evidence for this date? the main mahabharta page doesn't give a date. Zeimusu 13:39, 2004 Oct 31 (UTC)

[edit] split?
The scope of this article is too large. Wee need to at least split of "Medieval literature", and maybe 12th century as a separate article. Bronze/Iron Age may possibly also be split off from "Classical Antiquity", or lump it as "Ancient literature". dab (ᛏ) 14:49, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
