Preston FM is a community radio station broadcasting at 87.9FM on a temporary licence from its base in Church Street, Preston. The current temporary broadcast runs from Sunday 5th November to Saturday 2nd December.
The station has broadcast previously on two one-month trials, back in October 2005 and March 2006. The community broadcaster, which is led by station manager Richard Lace, hopes to gain a permanent licence in the future. The station has been partly backed thanks to EU funding.
