Prendergast School

Prendergast School, is an all girls secondary school, located in Hilly Fields Lewisham. Prendergast Grammar School was founded in 1890 under the will of the late Dr Joseph Prendergast, DD(Cantab), 1791-1875, Headmaster of Colfe's School 1831-1857. Now known as Prendergast School it is a voluntary aided, non-denominational Comprehensive school taking in about 95 girls of all abilities in each year. The school is very closely linked with the Worshipful Company of Leathersellers, a City Livery Company, and four members of the Company are foundation governors.
