Precious in GoGo Sentai Boukenger
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Precious (プレシャス Pureshasu?) are fictional artifacts that are the focus for each Task (episode) of the Japanese tokusatsu series GoGo Sentai Boukenger. For an artifact to be considered a Precious, it must be physically or technologically superior to any current human technology. It is the responsibility of the Search Guard Successor Foundation to retrieve these items before any of the various members of the Negative Syndicate can use the Precious' powers for evil. Each Precious has a different "Hazard Level" according to the scans of the Accellular, the Boukengers' personal communicator and transformation device; the higher the number, the more important or dangerous the Precious is. When a Precious is collected by the Boukengers, it is contained within a collapsable box that is found often in a card-like shape. These can be as small as a toaster oven to one the size of a large building, depending on the size of the Precious held within.
[edit] Heart of Gordom
The Heart of Gordom (ゴードムの心臓 Gōdomu no Shinzō?) with the Brain of Gordom is the Gordom's underwater energy system and relic. Gajah used this to revive the Gordom God by dipping it in water which made the Heart turn red. While the Boukengers were in the shrine where they found it (they first had to cross a trap bridge across magma), it multiplied into about thirty copies when Souta touched it. The copies would explode when touched (fortunately, Natsuki foresaw Souta's destruction and saved him). Gajah took the real one when they found it, but the Boukengers took it into S.G.S. custody after defeating the Gordom God.

The last blade, the Soukoken (a double-blade), was in the possession of a systems-engineer, but because of Souta (who, in Ranger form, saved his life with the Blow Knuckle during a free fall; the engineer discovered Souta's identity in the process), he gave it to the Boukengers (which gave DaiBouken a power surge) —he even deceived Shizuka with a fake bamboo roll (which had his picture on it; he wore the real one around his abdomen) —as well as the other two Blades, which he picked up shortly before Jougami was terminated. The engineer learned the true meaning of "adventure" during the episode.

Go Go Machines 1 through 5 were buried in ice and snow and fell into a deep crevasse. Unfortunately for the Jaryuu, the machine that they used to turn the treasure on shorted out because the treasure was simply too much for the machine to handle. The Madness Weather later evolved into a humanoid monster form, which gave the Boukengers a hard time, but it was ultimately terminated by DaiBouken Drill's Maximum Penetration Attack, despite the GoGo Drill's power overload problems.

[edit] Vril
Vril (ヴリル Buriru?) is an Atlantean Precious that has the ability to copy items and people. It is apparently alive, possibly intelligent, and is extremely aggressive. Vril was contained within a series of jars stacked within each other, like a Russian nesting doll. It was said that once Vril learned how to duplicate itself, it would attempt to replace all humanity with copies of itself. Among the things it imitated were a pen, a piggy bank, a potted plant (which then strangled Makino-sensei), a chair (which attacked Souta), Souta, and mutated into BoukenBlue after Souta attacked it. After seizing data from Souta's laptop, it copied Souta in both forms and multiplied in the Ranger state after it was blasted with the Dual Crusher, and took the form of an (VERY obviously) imperfect Daibouken copy. Terminated by Daibouken Drill and Mixer's Hind Break.
