Hi all. I'm an Aussie living in Jinghong, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China. If you're in the area drop me a note. Since November 19, 2003, I'm also an administrator on English wikipedia. Stick around awhile and you will be too!

[edit] Origin of AIDS

After seeing a video on the origin of AIDS (ed2k://|file|Documentary - Origins of AIDS (Africa, Gay,CIA) .avi|161849856|99C4B5E35E8AD31292B190DF816A8330) that I believe more people should watch, I can say that I believe western medicine has made some big mistakes, as well as successes. See OPV AIDS hypothesis for a (very) partial explanation of the evidence presented in the video, which in my opinion totally destroys the credibility of the doctor in question.

[edit] Activity

I haven't been active over the last year or so due to growing work commitments and the Chinese ban on Wikipedia, though I should be about more often again in the future.

[edit] Note on China and Chinese Wikipedia use

Unfortunately the Chinese government decided to ban Wikipedia - although I don't agree with this decision, I understand their fears. This basically means that Wikipedia is inacessible (along with geocities, BBC, and a tiny handful of other sometimes-accessed sites) to users in China. Consequently, I have been inactive for quite some time. Recently, however, I have set up a great solution with openvpn, squid-cache and the switchproxy for firefox. It not only works, but actually functions FASTER than my standard internet access in China! This is because the VPN runs over UDP, which avoids high-latency TCP connections (which are particularly bad, and seemingly randomly reset when coming out of China).

[edit] Licensing garbage

I hate all this licensing garbage - as far as I'm concerned just don't rip off other people's work for undue personal profit and share what you create. As some robot asked me to paste the following in to my user page, here it is. I hope it makes the above common sense English crystal-clear to lawyer-types.
