From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
71.33.206.92 01:50, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Prayer is the first single from Disturbed's 2002 album Believe. It is a conversation between lead singer David Draiman and God after the death of his grandfather. In the video the members of Disturbed have tramatic experiences;David(singer) walks through an earthquake,Dan(guitar)crashes his car,Mike(Drums) gets knocked down by an explosion, and Fuzz(Bass) is almost crushed by scafolding.
The video for this song was banned in the US by MTV and other music television channels for having imagery too similar to that of 9-11, when, in fact, the footage is of an earthquake causing buildings to crumble in a city other than New York. The only US channel to air the video for a long time was Fuse TV.
It is also the theme song for professional wrestler Messiah in the CZW promotion.
