First written document mentions Pravda in 1380. Today's castle was built probably during second half of 15th century on top of prehistoric fortification. At time of construction it was very modern and strong fortress. During 16th century importance of the castle diminished and the place was abandoned.
In modern times, it became target of tourists and place of meetings and festivals. During the last century, the castle structure has deteriorated significantly. Attempts are being made to stabilize it.
