Prahova is a river of Southern Romania, which rises from the Bucegi Mountains, in the Southern Carpathians and flows into the Ialomiţa (near Adâncata).
It has a length of 183 kilometers, of which 6 km in Braşov County, 161 km in Prahova County and the last 16 km in Ilfov county.
Prahova's basin has 3740 km2, which is about 75% of the surface of the Prahova county.
