is an Irish company that specialises in Broadband Over Powerlines (BPL) or Powerline Communications (PLC).
POWER2 solutions use best-of-breed products to create efficient and cost-effective systems by converting existing electrical wiring into a data network. The founding members, Tom Walsh and Patricia McGrath were 2 of the pioneering senior management team that led the global roll-out of chello broadband for UPC / Liberty Global, starting as early as 1997.
== SMARTGRID2 ==[3][4] SMARTGRID2 is a POWER2 sister company, that specialises in IP over electrical supply / distribution networks, using MV and LV lines. It also allows smart applications such as remote monitoring of utility assets, IP metering and provision of broadband services to the home. The management team are members of the EU Working Group on Smart Grid technology.
