Povorino

Povorino (Russian: Поворино) is a town in the eastern part of Voronezh Oblast, Russia, located at 51°12′N 42°15′ECoordinates: 51°12′N 42°15′E. It emerged as a settlement around the eponymous railway station in 1870 and was granted city rights in 1954. A junction of railroads and motorways, it is situated between Tambov and Volgograd on European route E119 from Moscow to Astara, Azerbaijan. Population: 18,342 (2002 Census).
