Poulson (processor)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Poulson is the code-name for a future generation of Intel's Itanium 2 processor family. It is expected to come to market in 2009, after Tukwila.
Little is known about what features the Poulson will include, however the fact that Intel has declared its existence indicates that planning continues to be done on the Itanium processor line.
Intel has indicated that Poulson would represent a much bigger and bolder microarchitecture step in the Itanium line, relative to the changes introduced by Tukwila.[1]
