From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Poughkeepsie Regatta is an annual regatta contested by the Intercollegiate Rowing Association. It was originally held in Poughkeepsie, New York, on the Hudson River, in 1895, with Cornell, Columbia, and the University of Pennsylvania competing. In 1950, it moved to Ohio, but eventually settled in 1952 in Syracuse, where it remains to this day.
