[edit] Huhwhat?
What's going on here? Some anon is fiddling with the names as if the storms were active. But this is a future event. — jdorje (talk) 04:48, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
JTWC says Carina and Emma are indeed active. [[1]] Tropische Storm Sven 13:43, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, wrong season indeed. Tropische Storm Sven 14:14, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
- Some bizarre editing of this article continues. I don't know how the naming system is supposed to work so I don't know how to fix it. But NONE of the storms on this page should be marked as used. I presume it's a rotating system that just goes through the names in order, carrying over from year to year. If that's the case and you guys want to keep it updated minute-to-minute, just remove the used names from the top and add the next names to the bottom each time a new name is used in the current season. Personally this seems like a waste of time to me, but whatever. — jdorje (talk) 05:03, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- All the list are circular, except the south-west Indian ocean list. But I think it's better to just leave the article as it is right now and start editing it when the 2006-07 season starts. - Yarrah 11:36, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

- Shall I change this article into the Post-2006 article? If so, anything important I need to know before changing the article? - Yarrah 23:05, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Infobox
Can something be done about the Southwest Indian Ocean Cyclone Scale infobox? The large white space it creates is really ugly and annoying, but I don't really know how to edit those infoboxes - Yarrah 00:54, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- I remember this, this happened over at the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season page. I think we just eventually removed it altogether. Just of note, the whitespace only happens in Internet Explorer; for some reason Firefox doesn't have it.

- But is there some way to fix it? - Yarrah 00:34, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Names
Are we sure that names are used once only? On page 57, section 7.6 of this PDF, you see on map C several cyclone tracks. Among the named storms are Daryl, Emma, Hubert, Isobel, Jacob. These names are also on the Western Australia list. We just used Daryl and Emma. Hubert and Isobel are due for use soon. Based on this, I have no choice but to conclude that the western Australia list is simply circular like the Western Pacific's; when the end of the last list is reached, names are repeated beginning with the first list again.
