Talk:Poser porn
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
it is a bit of a stub
Why is this an art stub if it's listed in the porn category? --Ashmodai 17:52, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
"The freedom allowed by using computer generated images allows pornographers to create scenes or scenarios that would not be possible (or legal) within the realm of live action shooting. Therefore a significant number of Poser pornographers choose to create fantastical scenes that may also feature animals, monsters, aliens and magical/supernatural elements. The tendency to use violent and disturbing imagery is also somewhat commonplace with the computer generated approach."
- Isn't that "may also" a bit redundant? It also changes the meaning of the sentence from "a significatant number of Poser pornographers chose to create (fantastical) scenes that feature bestiality, etc" to "a significant number of Poser pornographers chose to create fantastical scenes (that may also feature bestiality, etc)" thereby shifting the focus.
- Which of both is the significant number and is either an actual fact? I've changed it to "Therefore many Poser pornographers..." until someone can come up with something more sensible.

"Far fetched BDSM scenarios"? Isn't this getting a bit ridiculous if we keep on adding everything people have created with Poser now? I'd suggest making it more general and less specific unless we REALLY want to go into full detail. A short list of various assorted impossible scenarios you can create with Poser isn't exactly doing much but pointing out that you can do odd things if your porn actors are virtual. --Ashmodai 00:30, 21 May 2005 (UTC)

Poser Porn is pretty much one of the reasons that some professional artists have a derisory outlook on the use of Poser. The fact that there is considerably more content for female charas than males in the realm of Poser use does not help impressions, despite the fact that it is actually possible to create Poser scenes that don't involve women in states of undress. Very unfortunate, IMHO. --User:Thomasckx:Thomasckx
