Posthumus Zone
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The "Posthumus Zone" is a song composed by the Los Angeles electronic music group E.S. Posthumus for the TV programs The NFL on CBS and The NFL Today on CBS Sports. The song is repeatedly played at the start and end of the programs, before and after commercial breaks, and during clock stoppages of the American Football Conference games shown on The NFL on CBS, and on commercial spots that announce the programming schedule, as a kind of jingle for viewers to remember.
The song is also used to introduce and conclude Westwood One's NFL game coverage, in addition to its use as a commercial bumper and to introduce the halftime show.
The "Posthumus Zone" is expected to be released by E.S. Posthumus in 2006. In 2005, their CD Rise to Glory, together with the song Rise to Glory, is a sung remix of the Posthumus Zone featuring musicians DJ Quik and Bizarre.
