During the reign of King Edward VII, Ontario, as a province of Canada began to issue postal notes in a range of denominations up to $10. The last postal notes were issued during the reign of King George VI.

The two post offices that are of special interest to some postal order collectors are the ones at Swastika and Arnprior. Swastika is a small town named after the ancient good luck symbol. Arnprior is where a famous die variety in the Voyageur silver $1 coins was discovered.
