From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Portuguese Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Seventh-day Adventist church serving the Portuguese community of Toronto, Canada. It is located on College Street just west of Bathurst. The church was originally built as College Street Baptist Church in 1889. The Baptist congregation had been founded in 1872 and had originally met at College and Lippincott, the current location of St. George Lutheran Church. In 1970 the church was sold to the Portuguese Seventh-day Adventist congregation, the area having become the centre of Toronto's Portuguese community.
