PortaPuTTY

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

portaPuTTY is a "portable" version of the Windows terminal access software PuTTY. Whereas the original stored information in the registry, this "hacked" version stores most information in files within the install directory. Some pieces (such at pagent) still use the registry, but will likely be modified.

The primary advantage of this is that it can be run from a USB drive or other suitable storage device, without leaving any detritus once it has been removed. It has been particularly aimed at those running tor off a flash drive or computer technicians requiring PuTTY for repair or maintenance purposes.
