The Green Gem (Poritia pleurata)[1] is a small butterfly found in India and Myanmar that belongs to the Lycaenids or Blues family[2].

It ranges from Manipur in India to Myanmar[2].

Rare as per Wynter-Blyth[2].

[edit] Description

A small butterfly, 30 to 40 mm in wingspan. The basal half or more of the cell in upper forewing is blue. There are apical and terminal spots in 2 and 3, though these may be absent in the dry season form. The upper forewing of the females do not have a yellow patch[2].
