Porcari is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lucca in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 50 km west of Florence and about 8 km east of Lucca. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,577 and an area of 17.9 km2.[1]
The municipality of Porcari contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Rughi, Padule, and La Fratina.
Porcari borders the following municipalities: Altopascio, Capannori, Montecarlo.
