"Bajan"? And all this time I thought the title "Pon de Replay" was Jamaican "patois" (or rather I should say Jamaican "creole"). See, "pon" is a word I often hear in dancehall tracks, etc.

Pon = "put on"? Not so sure about that. Do you have a source for that? And "Bajan is not English"? Of course it is. 'Pon = Upon, and it's an archaic English feature which is preserved in several Caribbean English creoles. Guettarda 16:06, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
