Ponteranica is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 50 km northeast of Milan and about 4 km northwest of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,866 and an area of 8.4 km2.[1]
Ponteranica borders the following municipalities: Alzano Lombardo, Bergamo, Ranica, Sorisole, Torre Boldone, Zogno.
