Pontebba is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 100 km northwest of Trieste and about 50 km north of Udine, on the border with Austria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,683 and an area of 97.7 km2.[1]
The municipality of Pontebba contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Aupa, Studena Alta, and Studena Bassa.
Pontebba borders the following municipalities: Dogna, Hermagor-Pressegger See (Austria), Malborghetto Valbruna, Moggio Udinese.
