Ponta Verdi (Portuguese meaning "Green Point" Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: Punta Verdi or -Berdi, Fogo Crioulo (Djarfogo): Ponta Verdi), is a village located approximately 12 km east north of the island capital of Sao Filipe and southwest of Mosteiros in the island of Fogo, Cape Verde. Ponta Verde is linked with another road encircling the island and another rural road with Santo António.

The area around Ponta Verde contains farmlands that partly extends up to 200 to 500 m above sea level, the Chã das Caldeiras is to the southeast. Grasslands, rocks and ledges and bushes are sporadically founded in its valleys and its coastline with the Atlantic Ocean which is to the northwest. The living standards are in the low range as well as its income, one time, there were no money until the late-20th century. The village is in the island's low class. Every house are built with mud-brick and stone. All of its population are farmers and are based in agriculture where banana plantations, pineapple and other crops are common. However, a part of the needy materials comes from the island capital, the island capital and the diaspora. But for other needs, electricity, communications and appliances are partially available in the area as well as phone lines since the mid to late-20th century. A part of the necessities also comes from the island capital.
