- A now obsolete metric unit of force equal to a gram-force, usually used as kilopond (Like pound, the term derives from the Latin pondus or weight). See kilogram-force.
- A historic unit of currency used in the Orange Free State, the South African Republic, and New Griqualand. It is derived from both Afrikaans and Dutch language. It later became the equivalent word for Pound sterling.
