Pomfret School was founded by William E. Peck in 1894 on the principles of intellectual rigor and the development of character. Peck is the former head of St. Mark's School.
Pomfret School is an independent coeducational boarding and day school located in Pomfret, Connecticut, which educates grades 9 through 12. The school also offers a Post-Graduate year. It is dedicated to the goals of helping students realize their intellectual, physical and spiritual potential while recognizing their responsibilities as members of a community.
Pomfret operates WBVC an FM radio station.
Pomfret is located next to The Rectory School on Connecticut Route 169.
