Pom Squad

A pom squad also known as "Dance" or "Poms" are a type of dance team that use the pompon in their dance routine. Most pom squads perform during the pre-game and half-time of sports events (football and/or basketball)and other school events. Pom squad is different from cheerleading in key ways.

Pom squads dance with their poms to showcase precise and tigh arm motions as well as technical dance skill (such as jumps, turns, and leaps), and various other types of dance including hip hop, jazz, and kick lines. Pom squads perform for crowds at sporting events such as basketball and football. Usually their routines are done during half time, but they also may perform before or after games.
In addition, pom-ponning is a highly competitive sport. Middle school, high school, collegeiate, and all star teams compete on local, regional, state, national, and international levels. Teams are judged on a number of things including team unison, precision of motions, jumps, leaps, turns, choreography, enthusiasm, and has an emphasis on the visual use of the poms.

Most porn squad members wear cheerleader-type uniforms, others wear tank tops with pants or body suits more typical to outfits seen in modern dance.
