Polyurethane laminate (or "PUL") is generally a Polyester or Cotton fabric that has been coated in a thin film of clear Polyurethane on the back (wrong) side of the fabric. This creates a Waterproof fabric, that can be stretchy and breathable. This is useful in the production if clothing, modern cloth nappies and cloth menstrual pads, as it can provide a waterproof barrier, while allowing some airflow.
