Polytechnical Institute of Coimbra

The Polytechnical Institute of Coimbra (Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra) (IPC) is a public polytechnic institute in Coimbra, Portugal. It was created by decree of 1979, but its effective start up was only in 1988 through the creation and union of new and former schools. Today, it is amongst the leading and biggest polytechnic institutes of Portugal, although Lisbon's and Porto's polytechnic institutes have more schools and students.
