Polyarnye Zori

Polyarnye Zori (Russian: Поля́рные Зо́ри, lit. Polar Dawns) is a town in Murmansk Oblast, Russia, located on the Niva River, Lake Imandra, and Lake Pinozero some 224 km south of Murmansk. Population: 15,900 (2005 est.); 15,910 (2002 Census); 19,428 (1989 Census).

Polyarnye Zori was founded in 1968 as a settlement for workers of the electrical power industry due to the construction of the Kola Nuclear Power Plant. It was granted town status in 1991.
