Polluted Inheritance
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Polluted Inheritance is a Dutch technical death metal band formed in 1989 from the remnants of Sacrement (Van Wijck and De Fouw) and Pollution (Camonier and Wesdorp). The band are shortly thereafter joined by Hoorman as their vocals. They record a demo Afterlife in 1991 which leads to a deal with West Virginia Records. Nevertheless Hoorman leaves the band and Camonier handles the vocals from now on. The album Ecocide is recorded and released in 1993. Unfortunately the label goes bankrupt and Polluted Inheritance is left labelless again.
The record another demo, simply titled Demo 94 to draw the attention of labels. DSFA takes the band and they record their second album Betrayed, which is released in 1996; it is followed by a tour with Orphanage. DSFA is however not happy with the band's sales, because of the musics complex nature and drops the band.
Disappointment leads to a period of very little activity and in 2001 De Fouw leaves the band. He is replaced by Vrieswijk. The band get signed again, this time by the small Belgian label RokaRola. Continuing their complex and technical approach, the band record a third album, Into Darkness which is released the same year.
