[edit] History

Polish beer shoes (PBS) has been brought to you by the same people that brought you Beer Pong, Asshole, and Drunk Ball: college kids.

[edit] What You Need

  1. Two teams of two people
  2. A Frisbee
  3. Two four foot trashcans
  4. Level ground
  5. Beer (Optional)

[edit] Getting Started

  1. Place the two trashcans 25-30 feet apart
  2. Split the teams up similarly to horseshoes (one person from each team behind each trashcan)
  3. Flip a coin to see who goes first (default is challenger goes first)

[edit] Rules and Scoring

The object of the game is to score points (first to 21) by hitting the can, landing it in the can, or having your partner direct the frisbee into the can. If the frisbee contacts the outside of the can before any players or the ground touch the frisbee, one point is scored. If your partner knocks the frisbee in (using only one arm; no carries; one touch), two points are scored. If the frisbee lands in the trashcan before touching any players or the ground, three points are scored. Teams take turns (with both players throwing on each turn) until one team has reached 21 (or greater; if 21 is reached mid-turn, the turn is finished). Polish Beer Shoes is "win by six", so after a team has reached 21 there are various redemptions. To keep the game going, the team losing by six or more must only come within six on their next turn. If the team is down by 12 or more, this is not an option (the most points possible in one turn is six) so the team must attempt a "scissor kick" redemption. To complete this, a thrown frisbee must be kicked into the opposite trashcan by a partner using only one leg and both feet must be off the ground when contact is made with the frisbee. If one "scissor kick" is made, the game is then tied and the team that was winning is now up. If two "scissor kicks" are made, then the game is tied but the team that was losing goes first. The game will now continue until one team is up by 6 or more on their turn.

[edit] Variations

The losing team must finish their drinks. If any beer is spilled during play, the drink must be finished and a new one substituted in its place.
