- Polgara the Sorceress is a fictional character in the David Eddings book series The Belgariad and The Malloreon.
- Polgara is a kind of demon in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer universe. It got its name from a member of the Buffy posting board [1] (who may, in turn, have got the name from the Eddings character or from some other source).
