Polemic is a band from Athens, Georgia. They attempt to dissolve barriers to human understanding by stretching audiences appreciation of both extreme sound and unusual imaginative lyrics.

The band was founded by guitarist McKenna Mackie in 1996. Their first recording, released in 2001 was titled Prickle Rum. Juice of Lucifer was released on the Canadian label Meathead Records.
