This template is only meant to be used in Pokémon species articles, like Hoppip or Pikachu. This is to be meant only as a suggested introduction, establishing the role of the subject in this particluar medium, and the notability of the medium itself. This template in no way purports to be a guideline or standard endorsed by the Pokémon Collaborative Project, only a starting point.

[edit] Usage

This template is automatically implemented by {{PokePage}}. That template purposely implements this one through transclusion, with the intention that the editor may easily remove it if unnecessary or undesired, or change it to a substituted template if appropriate. However this template is not meant to be transcluded anywhere in the main article namespace as a final product. The preferred method of final implementation is substitution. That way other editors may come along and edit it accordingly to better fit each individual article.

Unlike most other templates, because this is only meant to disseminate general text through substitution, editing is encouraged for grammar, spelling, and clarity as it should not have any effect on articles and therefore not adversaly affect server resources.
