Is it possible to distinguish between the two demo versions somehow? Which is considered the first? Which is the second? Perhaps by referencing lyrics or song duration... Thanks Stormweaver

[edit] Chronology of demos?

So here is what I have...

Points Of Authority (Demo 1) - 3:27 So-called "Vertical Limit" version

Points Of Authority (Demo 2) - 2:51 with "It's time to sink or swim" lyrics

Can someone verify this for me?

Thanks Stormweaver

Points of Authority had 4 versions.

Version 1 2:51 - No chorus. Similar to original version in lyrics and music otherwise except verse 2. Sink or swim version. Version 2 2:46 - Same as v1 except no Sink or Swim bit. Version 3 3:27 - Has chorus but completely different lyrics to v1, v2 and v4. Vertical Limit Version. Version 4 - Hybrid Theory Version

Hope that helps, guy (gpmuscillo)

[edit] Guitar work?

The guitar work of "Points of Authority" is similiar to 'Dont Stay"?? I know how to play both songs on Guitar and i've watched Brad Delson play both songs live and The guitar work is not similiar. "Dont stay" is unique because its tuned in drop B unlike other LP songs (Brad uses a black guitar Ibanox to play this song) and the riff is just a simple pattern with the power chords. "Points of Authority" is tuned in Db like many other Lp songs and the riff is a combination of 3 power chords and palm mute.
