Point Place (That '70s Show)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Point Place is a fictional small suburban town in Wisconsin in which the television sitcom That '70s Show takes place. The characters speak with a midwestern accent, consistent with the inhabitants of central Wisconsin. Dialogue from That '70s Show episodes contains estimates of travel times and/or distance references to such real Wisconsin cities as Sheboygan, Kenosha, Milwaukee, and Madison. It is commonly thought by local residents of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin to be a fictionalized version of that village.
Point Place (Toledo OH) is also a small neighborhood in the northern portion of Toledo, Ohio, bordering Lake Erie (home to the writer of That '70s Show, Bonnie Turner). "Best place any place, Point Place" has been a mantra of the town for many years.
Point Place has also been rumored to be based on Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Point Place (Toledo OH) is also the home of professional poker player Corey Carone.
